Why an overall assessment is important

My patient asked me today if all pain is connected because he's been having some heavy neck pains, and lower backaches that radiates to the hips, then to the knees. I told him, yes, since the human body works like wonders right. Like there are nerves connecting those parts he explained are aching. The way he describes it is so real I kind of start to feel what he's feeling. I think this is why we need to do some holistic assessment. We should try to do that at least, even though without the aid of diagnostic equipments or something. We can help our patients that way. So my tip right now is just to try look into less obvious patterns and consider that the body systems are connected.

I totally agree. Pain in one area can easily be connected to another, especially with how nerves and muscles work together. Holistic assessment really does help catch what we might otherwise miss. Thanks for sharing.

I totally agree with you on the importance of a holistic assessment. no need for fancy machines, just taking the time to listen carefully and consider how everything in the body works together can make a huge difference. thanks for sharing this here!
