Asking for input: how do solo therapists manage phone calls during sessions?

I'm a software developer doing customer research for a product aimed at solo massage therapists. Before I build further, I want to understand this from real practitioners.

The specific scenario I'm trying to understand: a potential new client calls while you're mid-session. You can't pick up. What happens next — for you and for them?

I'd really appreciate honest answers to:
  1. How often does this happen in a typical week?
  2. Have you lost bookings because of it, or do clients usually find another way to reach you?
  3. What's your current setup to handle it (voicemail, online booking link, text-back, etc.)?
  4. Has anything worked well, or has everything felt like a compromise?
If anyone's willing to share more in a short Zoom call, I'd offer 3 months of free product access in exchange. No pitch involved — just trying to understand the problem properly before building a solution.
Happy to answer any questions about what I'm working on too.
