Quick pain relief trick

I'm bored so thought I share a quick pain relief trick I use based on reflexes. It's like flipping a switch. pain gone instantly!

So it's the Pfluger's Law of Symmetry. For soft tissue this works for tendons more, not ligaments. Try to find the same spot on the opposite side of the pain, give it a firm (but not painful!) press or twist while lightly touching the sore spot. If the pain vanishes, hold for 20 secs. Crazy, right? tried this with my mom. It doesn't always work, but takes seconds to try. let me know if you've tried it!
 
Thanks for sharing this tip! that's super interesting about Pfluger's Law of symmetry, especially for tendon pain. I haven't tried it myself, but I'm definitely going to keep this in mind for the next time I have a little ache or pain. Sounds like a really good hack!
 
That's a neat trick! It actually ties into how our reflexes work. You're sending a signal through the other side to help ease the pain. It's worth a shot and it might not fix everythin but it's a cool feeling when it does
 
This is such a cool share. I really love these little body hacks. I've never thought of using Pfluger's Law in that way, but it totally makes sense given how reflex arcs operate. I think I might give it a shot the next time my wrist flares up. Has anyone actually tried this and seen it work?
