The local chiropractic said I have a pinched nerve, he was pretty sure about it, but I'd still like to get a second opinion. No offence, but I'd like a doctor to take a look at it. I'll get around to doing that, but in the meantime are there any exercises or massages that I can do to help me with the symptoms? They've gotten noticeable in the past few weeks.

It's a smart idea to seek a second opinion,no hard feelings here. In the meantime, you could consider doing some gentle nerve glides and light stretching if it's in your neck or back. Just steer clear of anything that makes your symptoms worse. By the way, is it affecting your arm or leg, or is it mostly concentrated in that area?

A pinched nerve can be serious so getting that medical evaluation is definitely the priority!
But while you're waiting to see a medical doctor, gentle stretching and heat therapy can sometimes help with nerve-related symptoms.
Focus on movements that don't increase your pain, and consider using a warm compress on the affected area.
However, be cautious and stop if anything makes your symptoms worse!

getting a second opinion is great! now, for massage, stick to very gentle, broad strokes around the area, not directly on what feels 'pinched.' You're trying to relax surrounding muscles, not push on the nerve itself. If it increases pain, stop immediately.
Over the counter NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) can help with inflammation. And really, rest is key! relax and avoid anything that makes the symptoms worse while you wait for the doctor's visit
